Martin is a Senior Management Consultant with PC3 Consulting. His Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics and Finance from Seton Hall University, N.J., and an MBA in Finance, Economics, and Market Research from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management, N.J. These academic achievements, significantly shaping his professional development, are a testament to his unwavering commitment to continuous learning and growth, inspiring others in the field. He was a regular participant in HealthCare Executive Leadership Programs/Retreats at the Harvard School of Public Health.
He spent his formative years with KPMG as a Senior Management Consultant. His impactful roles as a System Vice President in Managed Care and Value-Based models for two large Systems, Ascension Health (Indiana, New York, Connecticut, and Tennessee) and Baptist Health System (Kentucky), are defined by a collaborative leadership style that fosters strong relationships with various stakeholders. This approach, coupled with a relentless focus on clinical/quality and operational excellence, has allowed him to deliver exceptional results.
He provides strategic Managed care and Value-Based guidelines to Health Systems, including Tertiary Care, PPS Acute Care, Specialty Care, Medical Groups, Outpatient Surgical, Retail Centers, Joint Ventures, and newly acquired entities. He collaborates with various stakeholders, senior administrators, and physician leaders and has built a strong team.
In addition to his professional work experience, he has taught Health Policy courses in the MHA Program at Indiana University, Fairbanks School of Public Health, for the last 12 years, focusing on Managed Care, Price Transparency, Referenced-Based, Strategic Pricing, and Value-Based Payment Models. He is an Executive-in-Residence at the University of Louisville and a guest lecturer on Managed Care and Value-Based Payment Models.
Martin is an active Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) member, serving on two national committees, the Strategic & Innovation and Financial Analytics Council. He has edited the Managed Care text guide twice for Health Care Financial Management Association (HFMA) professionals taking the HFMA Fellowship examinations.
He is also a regular presenter at the National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP) and HFMA National and local chapter seminars, where he shares his expertise on Managed Care and Value-Based Payment Models, effectively communicating complex healthcare concepts to diverse audiences.
